Thomas Cook Tours Offers Last-Minute Discounts on Cross-Canada Rail Journeys

Thomas Cook Tours is offering last-minute, discounted prices on two of its cross-Canada rail journeys.

The Trans-Canada Rail Adventure, a 15-day tour departing on 7 September 2012, is being offered at a discount of £200 per person. This takes the price of the tour from £3745 to £3545.

The Trans-Canada Rail Adventure tour includes rail journeys aboard both the Rocky Mountaineer train and VIA Rail's Canadian. Included in the tour are

transport to and from London Heathrow and return flights with Air Canada

three nights and a city tour in cosmopolitan Vancouver

a rail journey aboard the Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops, and a night in Kamloops

two nights in the Rocky Mountains town of Banff and coach travel to Jasper, also famous for its spectacular mountain scenery

two nights in Jasper

three nights aboard the Canadian, en route to Toronto

two nights and a city tour in Toronto

Also being offered at a last-minute, discounted price is The Rocky Mountaineer, an 11-day fully escorted tour due to depart on 8 September 2012. This tour is being offered at a discount of £250 – taking the price from £2845 to £2595 per person.

This tour, which combines both road and rail journeys, includes

transport to and from London Heathrow, and return Air Canada flights

road travel from Calgary to Banff, and three nights in Banff

a coach journey along the Trans-Canada Highway, with visits to Lake Louise and the Icefields Parkway
