It includes a first-ever Buyer’s Lounge for overseas buyers to use as their sourcing center, meet with suppliers, check e-mail and enjoy a cup of coffee while on buying trips.

Merle A. Hinrichs, Global Sources chairman and chief executive officer, hosted the opening ceremony. “Today’s opening marks our 35th anniversary of promoting export trade from Asia to buyers worldwide. Our new offices are a substantial investment and underscore our ongoing, 25-year commitment to China. We will continue to connect China suppliers with global buyers through what is by far the most robust offering available of sourcing information in print, online, trade shows and research media.”

Participants at the opening ceremony included Wang Hui, deputy director-general, Economic Affairs Department, the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Zhang Litong, governor of the People’s Government of Futian District, Shenzhen; Global Sources Board of Directors; customers; team members and media.
