ArabicaDabra Coffee Coming to a Theatre Near You

August 22, 2012-Van Nuys, CA— Jackie Mendelson, owner of Van Nuys, CA based ArabicaDabra Coffee Co., LLC, has announced that Legacy Entertainment, a Hollywood product placement firm, is representing her company for product placement in television and film. The coffee packaging will make its premier appearance in two upcoming movies and may be seen on two very popular television sitcoms.

When Mendelson started her company more than two years ago, she never imagined this scenario. As a former executive for an NGO, she traveled the world to help those with AIDS in Africa, India and Latin America. She had but one aim at the time, to sell enough coffee so that she could use some of her profits to purchase bicycles, goats, pigs and looms for resource poor families in the countries where her coffee beans grow.

Then she received the call from Legacy, a call she momentarily thought was a hoax, asking her if she would like ArabicaDabra Coffee featured on television and in films. A company scout had come across the coffee and took some test shots of the packaging. It's striking black, brown and gold labeling made it pop on screen.

"I'm just glad I called back," said Mendelson, who is ecstatic about the product placement deal. "I never dreamed I would be offered this type of opportunity so soon after starting my business. I look forward to a long-standing relationship with Legacy Entertainment."

This has been quite a year for Mendelson, who currently has her coffee in Whole Foods Market in Tarzana and Woodland Hills, CA. To find out more about the coffee, how it ends up in your cup, and the difference your coffee purchase can make, visit www.tastymagic.com.

Since its inception in 2010, ArabicaDabra Coffee Co., LLC has devoted a portion of its net proceeds to farming families, widows and others who need a little help from the outside world to improve their lives. Many live in desolate areas of India and Africa, places where traditional NGOs do not venture. Through her contacts in those regions, Mendelson tries to fill the economic gap with the purchase of looms, pigs, goats and bicycles. ArabicaDabra is committed to supporting other like companies that want to help change the world. Mendelson encourages people to BE THE CHANGE by buying local, buying from small businesses and supporting businesses that care about the world we live in.
