"Escape the Things that Are Destined to Come", a new book by Elaine Williams Barnes, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Many would say that destiny is set in stone, but we are the ones who have the power to carve it. With fate in our responsibility, should we not at least try to make it as good-if not best-as it can be? Unfortunately, this is clearly not what is happening today, for we are pushing ourselves toward the wrong direction because of a lack of truth about us and our God.

In this book by Elaine Williams Barnes, she tackles the negativity that plagues many of the underprivileged-particularly African-Americans-and helps to turn them into individuals that God wants us to be as his chosen people. It is not yet too late to focus on changing the negative perceptions that make us feel badly about ourselves and restore them with a positive attitude and belief.

Barnes walks readers through a journey of rediscovering identity and the name of God, who will help them to change their unconsciously or carelessly chosen destiny, so that they will be able to make it to the new heaven and earth as promised in Rev. 21:1.
