MOREY ALEXANDER MUSCLES A NEW MUSIC MOB WITH FIRST KUT MUSIC

As one of the original pioneers in the hip-hop game, Morey Alexander has a proven track record for knowing how to pick future success stories. N.W.A., Easy E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Mellow Man Ace, Kid Frost, L.A. Dream Team and Timmy T are just a sampling of the acts that have benefited from his trusty tutelage.

His new find, however, is an artist that he believes rivals the talent of all the above combined. With the launch of First Kut Music, Alexander is set to once again introduce a new dimension to the hip-hop game. Slick and the Shock Mob is the act and “Product Of My Environment” is the new CD that will put the industry on edge.

“In all my years, I have yet to come across an artist like Slick,” offers Alexander. “He writes, produces, mixes, arranges and performs. This kid is talent personified.”

In an additional show of commitment, Alexander has enlisted the efforts of marketing and promotion guru, David Urso as part of his First Kut / Mob Inc. Music team. Urso brings over 27 years of industry experience to the table, having served as the vice president of Warner Bros. in the promotions division and the executive vice president of promotions at Elektra Records.

Urso worked with Alexander back in the early days of hip hop, breaking acts like JJ Fad and the LA Dream Team, and has played a critical role in the promotion of acts like Fleetwood Mac, Rod Stewart, Anita Baker and Earth Wind & Fire along with hip hop artists Tone Loc, Das EFX and Naughty by Nature.

To round out the team, Alexander has also enlisted the services of Shelly Rudin. Rudin has more than 30 years of experience in the music industry including ten years as vice president of sales at Polygram Records. Stuart Woltz, Alexander's partner for the last five years in several on-line music business ventures, will handle Internet marketing.

Fireworks Productions is distributing 12" vinyl to record pools and DJs featuring the single “Bump Yo Systems Up” and two other tracks. “Bump” recently won seven consecutive 'Battle of the Bands' contests on KLUC Radio in Las Vegas.

A product of South Central Los Angeles, Slick brings the influence of every coast to his music. A true “product of his environment,” his family is from New York, while he has lived in Kansas City, Atlanta, and Sacramento and now resides in Las Vegas. However, it is his Italian heritage that will raise the most eyebrows.

“I’m a true product of the hood,” clarifies Slick. “My music is a real reflection of that. But if folks believe that Italians are the original gangsters, then I guess I have a head start in the game. My music is universal in street appeal.”

First Kut Music has already signed Slick to ICM for representation, and is pairing him with a major-name artist for a summer tour.
