Free Diameter Protocol Stack Download Now Available from Diametriq Website
Melbourne, Florida October 02, 2012 Business News(PRLEAP.COM) Diametriq, a leader in addressing LTE signaling network issues, announced today that a free evaluation version of Diametriq's market leading Accelero™ Diameter protocol stack can now be downloaded directly from the Diametriq website. This is not a subset, but the full version of the Diameter protocol stack with popular interfaces included. It can be used for 30 days or longer and includes a demo application and full documentation.
"The rapid deployment of LTE networks has increased the demand for Diameter," said Anjan Ghosal, president and CEO of Diametriq. "While we have liberally offered an evaluation version of our Diameter stack, this web-based feature will allow potential customers to easily download the stack and immediately begin working with it in their labs."
The Diameter protocol has become ubiquitous in the LTE core network and is the standard for all aspects of policy, charging and subscription management. Diameter is based on RADIUS but has been enhanced to support failover, transmission security, reliable transport, agent support, server initiated messages, capability negotiation, peer discovery and configuration and is expandable with command codes (CC) and attribute-value pairs (AVP). The base Diameter protocols have been defined in the IETF and these have been extended using additional CCs and AVPs by the GSMA, 3GPP and 3GPP2 to support interfaces between the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and Evolved Packet Core (EPC) network elements.
"Diametriq's Diameter protocol stack has been used by some of the leading LTE network equipment vendors who rely on its performance and robustness," added Mr. Ghosal. "It is not a stretch to say that our Diameter stack is used by network operators in virtually every corner of the globe."
Diametriq offers a very high performance, scalable, reliable carrier-grade implementation of Diameter that can be used to build 3G and 4G core network elements. The Accelero™ Diameter has been used by tier one mobile equipment vendors and deployed in tier one operator networks around the world. Accelero Diameter includes support for all of the Diameter interfaces used by the EPC and IMS networks. Also included is an ABNF compiler and extensible XML-based data dictionary that allows changes to existing and new Diameter interfaces in just a few days. Accelero Diameter also includes the Diameter Relay, Proxy and Redirect. It can be supplied in a number of flexible licensing models, including source code, royalty-based and unlimited distribution binary. The free evaluation software package can be downloaded from the Diametriq website at www.diametriq.com/diametriq-accelero-diameter-free-evaluation-download/.
Diametriq, an innovator in LTE signaling control technologies, was launched in 2012 to focus on "Smart Signaling" solutions and meeting the ever increasing signaling traffic demands of 4G/LTE networks. The company was derived from key assets including executive leadership, engineering, and technologies from IntelliNet Technologies, a wireless solutions company founded in 1992. Diametriq boasts a high performance Diameter platform that is widely deployed by leading network operators around the globe.
Diametriq's flagship product is its Diameter Routing Engine™ (DRE) which provides load balancing, roaming and interworking that can be customized to an operator's specific requirements. The platform is flexible to meet the demands of today's wireless operators that must manage the surge in signaling traffic brought about by the dramatic growth in smart phone, tablet and other wireless devices.
Diametriq, offering LTE control signaling solutions to meet the needs of LTE network operators, was built on the assets of IntelliNet Technologies, a wireless solutions company founded in 1992. The company's application enabled Diameter Routing Engine™ (DRE) addresses traffic management, interoperability and service migration issues. The DRE includes a Diameter Routing Agent (DRA), Diameter Edge Agent (DEA), a Subscription Locator Function (SLF) and a Diameter Interworking Function (IWF).
