West Kingston, Rhode Island, Author Publishes New Book

Laurel Lane Thick, a new book by Victoria Montani, has been released by RoseDog Books.

This is Victoria Montani's first published book. She is very excited to also be the illustrator of this book.

The inspiration for this little story came from a tree that had fallen to the side of the road at the bottom of her street. The tree had taken on an exact resemblance of a dragon, horn and all! It was clear that this dragon and all the wonderful creatures that live in this wooded area and in her backyard would come to life on paper! She took some snapshots of the tree and went to work on writing this charming story.

At the end of Laurel Lane is a very pretty golf course where a lot of deer are seen watching the golfers from afar. This story has a very "local" touch and the ending has a universal message of fairness, community and peace.

About the Author and Illustrator:
Victoria Montani is a retired government worker. She has two children, a son and a daughter. She is happily married to her husband, Gerry. They have lived in southern Rhode Island since 1984.

Montani has always enjoyed writing poems for family and friends as gifts. The creatures for this story came to life in her head. She hopes that you will enjoy the lives of these beautiful animals who live on Laurel Lane. They have a message about living well together.

Montani is currently active in her church and enjoys the beach in the summer.
