Author and artist Jody McFerren brings his "Back In St. Olaf! With Jody McFerren" event to Jacksonville, October 12 from 6:00PM – 9:00PM at The Metro. What to expect at this shindig for Back In St. Olaf… An Illustrated Encyclopedia of Stories, Idiotic Sayings & Home Cookery? Gorgeous illustrations, platters of delicious treats to sample, trivia contests, St. Olaf specialty cocktails, chances to win original illustrations, and a lot of fun.

McFerren is such a devoted fan of The Golden Girls that he created a book devoted to his favorite character, Rose Nylund, played by Betty White, and her stories of St. Olaf, Minnesota. He's taking these events on the road from Florida to New York to garner support for his Back In St. Olaf facebook fanpage to leverage a publishing deal.

McFerren, who has created art for CNN and PEZ Candy, Inc., has created gorgeous art and recipes for his book. Several illustrations will be exhibited for raffle or purchase, with proceeds going to Rainbow House Jacksonville.
