OnRamp Announces John Thurik As New Director Of Technical Services

OnRamp Access, a leading data center operations company, announced today that John Thurik has been named the Director of Technical Services. In this newly created role, Thurik will oversee the implementation, monitoring and customer support for OnRamp's growing managed hosting and cloud computing services. Thurik will also manage OnRamp's technical support team and play a key role in future technical architecture review and planning.

Thurik has 17 years of technical experience and most recently served as the Senior Technical Director for Terremark Worldwide, where he led the company in Hosting and Security Custom Solutions, "It is clear that John has proven himself as a thought leader in the data center industry as demonstrated by his previous work with both Terremark Worldwide and Savvis, Inc.," stated Vice President of Operations, Shana Ravnsborg. "This is a part of our business that has been growing rapidly, so we are elated to have him as a member of our team."

OnRamp recently completed a multi-million dollar data center expansion project. The newly provisioned square footage incorporates three megawatts of power and two additional power paths for colocation, managed hosting, private cloud and disaster recovery customers. These additions allow OnRamp to further enhance the company's supply of reliable and conditioned power to customer racks utilizing OnRamp's Redundant Isolated Path Architecture for the utmost in 2N power reliability.
