November 26, 2012 - Washington Celebrations added lighting to its services in 2011. Now this growing company has the distinction of being selected by Caressa Cameron, Miss America 2010 and Miss Virginia 2009, to provide her wedding ballroom lighting this December in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She and her fiancé, Nathaniel Jackson, Jr, will be exchanging their vows on Sunday, December 2, and Washington Celebrations will light up their reception on a pro bono basis in exchange for a charitable donation to AIDS United (www.aidsunited.org).

"It's an honor to work with Caressa, both on making her special day memorable and giving to a wonderful organization like AIDS United," said company CEO Mike Hooke. "What a great way to give back to the community."

"Caressa came to me with her vision for her wedding, 'Winter Wonderland'," said Mr. Hooke. "We will of course use uplighting as well as colorwashes on the ceiling. A few shades of blue, white, and light purple. We will also provide pinspot lighting for her table centerpieces and her wedding cake, as well as lighting up her cocktail bar and sweetheart table. Her custom monogram matches the logo made for her invitations. Finally, no winter theme would be complete without snowflakes placed throughout the room."

The couple's wedding is being featured on TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress," in Virginia Bride Magazine, and on Munaluchi Bride dot com. Caressa and Nathaniel are requesting that guests make donations to AIDS United in lieu of gifts.

Washington Celebrations was co-founded by Mr. Hooke as a small event music company in Prince William County, Virginia. The company quickly expanded by adding DJ and lighting services, and will be adding live bands to their repertoire within the next year. Washington Celebrations serves the DC Metro area, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
