Fred, the Advice Guy Dishes Out “Straight”Forward Advice

(PRLEAP.COM) ComprehensiveAdvice.com welcomes E-Male Advice to its growing family of advice columns.

Fred, the Advice Guy (that’s F.A.G. to you acronym fans) is a different kind of gay columnist. He respects his readers so much that he actually holds them accountable for appropriate behavior! He knows in an era of anything goes, this is a radical and controversial approach, but he dispenses "straight"forward advice to one and all from tweaked-out twinks to barrel-chested bears, from muscle-manic gym rats to oversexed permissive partiers. Look out whiners, professional victims, and 40 year old closet cases…Fred’s one true goal in life is to be known as "the gay version of Dr. Laura." (Hmmm?)

Does Fred take questions from lesbians and straight people too? “Of course I do,” Fred says. “I’m an equal opportunity advice columnist! Besides, those Queer Eye for the Straight Guy guys paved the way for people to discover that we can all learn from each other and benefit from a point of view we may never have considered before. Sure, I don’t have a cool name like Jai, Carson, or Kyan, so I guess that makes me the nerdy little brother that nobody asked to the gay prom! I’m not bitter, oh no, not I…”

Although E-Male Advice doesn’t pull any punches, it’s not graphic or offensive. “Oh great, don’t tell them that. We’ll lose half the audience,” Fred jokes. “I’m very frank in my topics chosen and in my responses to people, no doubt about that. However, I’m not trying to be a shock-jock. They rarely last after the hoopla dies down. I’ve seen other columns that read like transcripts of porn movies. I’d rather address questions in a manner that allows access for everyone. I think it’s possible to discuss gay issues without being vulgar.” So, no “dirty” words? Fred laughs, “Well, maybe a few here and there…and that’s all I’m going to say.”

Writer Matthew W. Grant, founder of ComprehensiveAdvice.com, says, “I think the gay market is underserved when it comes to advice, especially what I consider decent advice. E-Male Advice will bring a counterbalance into the game.”
