Author Kerry Dunn At Louisiana Library Association Conference, GalleyCat's Literary MixTape, and Fair Grinds Coffee In New Orleans

Kerry Dunn continues the promo tour for his neo-noir thriller JOE PEACE with an invitation to appear, and introduce his abberant, ex-cop anti-hero at the Louisiana Library Association's 2013 Annual Conference at the Hilton Capitol Center on March 7, from 1:00PM to 5:00PM.

Dunn is always taken aback at reviews comparing his work to authors like Elmore Leonard, Don Winslow and Dennis Lehane. JOE PEACE, published by ShelfStealers, was a semi-finalist for the 2009 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award. GalleyCat, an internet magazine subtitled The First Word on the Book Publishing Industry, included JOE PEACE in their highly publicized Most Overlooked Books of 2012: A Literary Mixtape.

Set in Austin, Texas, Peace is a homicide detective with a crack habit in a disastrous affair with his female partner, Cassie. Eventually entering rehab he exits as a member, then leader, of a local drug gang. The action revs up evolving into an internecine campaign of both cops and thugs with you know who as the target. Thanks to Dunn's eccentric events, JOE PEACE is enjoying brisk sales, while his assiduously growing fan base is hounding him for a sequel. Engaging and sensational, no two Dunn events are identical. Expect any combination of a CSI crime scene, theater, or a pop-up night club with lounge singers and burlesque queens.

New Orleans folks can also meet Dunn at Fair Grinds Coffee, 3133 Ponce de Leon, in the Common Room on Sunday, February 24, at 3:00PM. Visit Fair Grinds or call 504-913-9072 for more information.
