Ambient/Electronic Music Podcaster Offers More Music Downloads

November 23, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Mark Rushton, an Iowa-residing, laptop-based electronic musician whose successful podcasts are heard worldwide, will soon be offering more free music downloads in MP3 format. This is all due to a generous increase in storage space and bandwidth by Rushton's web host provider, GoDaddy.com.

The latest MP3 made available via http://mp3.markrushton.com is an instrumental piece from 2004 called Lonely Town. It's a surging downtempo synth piece with edited acoustic guitar, piled-on electronic percussion, and heavenly voices.

Rushton calls Lonely Town, "A very interesting piece in the way I've layered and arranged the electronic percussion. It's definitely headphone music."

With a catalog of over 200 original recordings, Rushton has been eager to get more of them out of what he calls "the vault" and into people's ears.

During the final weeks of November and beginning of December, Rushton plans to make available more of his music on the web.

To catch him live, Mark Rushton will also be appearing at the Very Cherry Open House (329 10th Ave SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa) on December 3, 2005, as well as an appearance at the Cedar Rapids Public Library on January 25, 2006.
