The race for top talent ensures HR salaries increase

March 19, 2013 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Key HR professionals will enjoy salary increases in 2013 as organisations seek to retain their best talent, according to the latest Global Salary Survey from specialist recruitment consultancy Robert Walters.
For example, a HR director can expect an increase of up to 13%, a HR manager up to 9% and a remuneration and benefits consultant can command up to 20% more in 2013.

Marisa Iuculano, Robert Walters Manager of HR recruitment explains, "Organisations will focus on retaining the teams and top talent that saw them through the volatile economy of the past 18 months. Therefore, a strong HR function will be integral for many companies. We also expect to see continued demand for strong talent managers, as organisations attempt to increase productivity and engagement while reducing costs. Organisations will have to be prepared to pay a premium to attract top talent, as competition for experienced professionals will be high."

The survey also found:
  • Strong HR business partners with an ability to add commercial value will be highly sought after
  • Quarters two and three are expected to be the strongest as the economy continues to recover
  • The contract market will continue to perform strongly, as some parts of the market will still be hesitant to add to their permanent headcount

  • Now in its 14th year, the Robert Walters Global Salary Survey is the most comprehensive of its kind. Compiled by the company's dedicated research team and covering all 24 countries and disciplines in which Robert Walters specialises, the latest edition offers an overview of salaries and recruitment trends from 2012, as well as those expected in 2013.
