With their mother's encouragement and their father's excitement, the boys learn to keep an open mind about the new move. After a family discussion, the Hammonds decide to adopt a dog. With the introduction of Rusty, a golden retriever, into their lives, the family grows together and finds their place within the country lifestyle.
