"Across the Bridge to Tessahoc," a new book by Adelon Axt, has been released by RoseDog Books.

"Across the Bridge to Tessahoc" is about a young woman named Lena and her mischievous adventures.

She and the rest of the Olson family live on the bank of the Mississippi River. The children love the river and spend a great deal of their time boating, rafting, and swimming down at the bridge. If the river and bridge could only talk – they, being the sole witness to all their great adventures!

Lena was born to the Olson family and being the youngest child for quite awhile, she is dragged into trouble by Rob, her older brother. He proceeds to teach her all his mischievous schemes and thus she becomes a tomboy, until she gets older and meets a man who brings out the woman in her and they fall in love, marry and she gets pregnant. Her husband is killed in World War II, and never gets to see his son that is growing inside of Lena.

Life becomes bearable when later, she meets a war buddy of her late husband. They marry and have a large family of seven to raise. Life seems to finally make sense and the pot at the end of the rainbow begins to look brighter.
