Nicholas Maze announced today that his new book, Deleting God: Distractions, Misunderstandings, & Misinterpretations, will be released on May 21st, 2013. In Deleting God, Nicholas critiques the state of the modern church and brings attention to the many overlooked issues that exist. He discusses how Christianity is changing and the reasons why.

"Having served as an usher for several years has allowed me to experience the church from a different perspective," said Nicholas. "Ushers are required to be in the church far earlier than the rest of the congregation and are supposed to stay long after the church has adjourned. I observed situations that the average Church attendee may not see."

Societal change is occurring, and is whittling down moral values, causing churches to start, 'Deleting God.' This change is shown in increasing divorce rates, social drinking, people watching more TV, shopping and less time spent reading the Bible.

"Many people attend church faithfully, but are misguided as to who God really is. Simply going to church on Sunday's is not enough. If you do not read the word of God you will not know God," said Nicholas. "Our culture may change, but the word of God never changes."

Deleting God examines how the modern church is falling away from God and Christian traditions due to our ever-changing culture. Nicholas argues that the church needs to return to its biblical foundations. He provides readers with solutions to bring God back into the center of preaching, worship, and devotion.
