May 3, 2013 – Singapore, Singapore – Introduced in the Singapore Budget 2010 and enhanced in Budget 2011 and Budget 2012, the Productivity and Innovation Credit ("PIC") scheme provides significant tax deductions for investments in a broad range of activities along the innovation value chain. The initiative is to encourage businesses in Singapore to invest in productivity and innovation which can help attain long term and sustainable economic growth.

As Servcorp recognizes that there may be some business owners who are still unfamiliar with this government scheme, May's Business Shorts event aims to raise awareness of the PIC scheme. Ms. Koh Puay Hoon, Head of Tax Compliance Services of RSM Chio Lim LLP, will share some of the common things you can do in the daily course of business which will qualify your company for tax or cash savings from the PIC scheme. Not only will participants learn how to leverage and tap on the PIC scheme to increase their businesses' cashflow, the event will also present a great opportunity to network with like-minded professionals.

The Business Shorts event hosted by Servcorp will be held on Thursday, May 16th, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. at Penthouse Suntec Tower Three 8 Temasek Boulevard. Clients can RSVP for this free event by calling Shian Chuan at +65 6818 6000 or emailing her at shian.chuan@servcorp.com.sg.
