Illinois Career Institute Introduces Program Updates

Computer Systems Institute, a comprehensive education center with campuses in Chicago, Elgin, Skokie and Gurnee, provides career training while staying ahead of the technological curve. CSI knows how important it is for students to seek training from an institute that is ahead of industry changes, so it keeps leading programs up-to-date and readily accessible to anyone, recently eliminating all program application fees. Notably, the healthcare, networking and business programs are set to be overhauled. The new program features are free to students, adding no increase to tuition or fees.

The very first change began April 22nd in CSI's Healthcare Career program-administrative track. Added to this curriculum is McKesson's Medisoft software. Medisoft is medical practice management software that enables healthcare administrators to schedule appointments and perform billing tasks. The addition of Medisoft will supplement current medical billing classes and benefit CSI's e-learning module of the healthcare program.

In keeping with its dedication to improve medical training, CSI has also made changes to the Healthcare Career program-clinical track, which will go into effect on May 20th. In addition to the current phlebotomy and medical assistant certifications, students will now be able to earn an EKG certification. Those with a keen interest in heart-related medicine will benefit from this opportunity.

CSI's students will see still more curriculum updates, as course material has been overhauled in the institute's Networking Career program. Beginning May 20th, CSI will switch from preparing students for the now-outdated 701 and 702 level exams to the recently modified 801 and 802 exams required for CompTIA A+ certification. Several schools are still teaching for 701 and 702, putting CSI ahead of the game. To better aid in efficient information technology education, CSI will also equip each student in the program with a computer repair toolkit.

It is clear that major changes are happening at CSI; however the most profound are perhaps in the Business Career program. Along with next month's other upgrades, the business program will premiere the Internet Marketing for Small Business course to better prepare students for success in the marketing and E-commerce spheres. To go along with this, Google AdWords certification will also be available.

Further embracing technological advancement, CSI will provide all business students with Lenovo Thinkpad tablets complete with the latest Windows software and required e-textbooks. In anticipation of tablet learning, each CSI campus is now equipped with Wi-Fi to meet student needs.
