About the Author:
Bernita Harris is 62 years old, the divorced mother of two adult children, and resides in Shreveport, Louisiana. She is a 1973 graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. She has also studied Addictive Disease Counseling at Baptist Christian College.

Bernita was baptized as a child in the Baptist church, but came to truly accept Christ as her personal Saviour in February 1980. Bernita prayed for a deeper walk with the Lord and was led to the "local church" and ministry of Witness Lee. Witness Lee was a Chinese Christian who came to the United States in 1962 starting the "local church" movement, which was founded in China by his teacher and co-worker Watchman Nee.

Bernita left the "local church" in 1985, but credits the ministries and writings of both Witness Lee and Watchman Nee for her knowledge of the Bible and growth in Christ.
