In First Collaboration Since Multi-Platinum Albums, Third Eye Blind Co-Founder Forms New Band "Seven Cinematic" by Launching Kickstarter Campaign
Los Angeles, California May 28, 2013 Entertainment News(PRLEAP.COM) Kevin Cadogan, the co-writer of such Third Eye Blind hits, "How's It Going To Be", "Graduate", and "Losing A Whole Year" is teaming up with Los Angeles based songwriters and brothers, Collin and Chris Livingston, to start a new band that will be known as "Seven Cinematic". Their debut album will be Cadogan's first collaborative release since his late 90's Third Eye Blind albums.
Cadogan states "It feels great to be collaborating with talented artists once again. The music Collin, Chris and I are coming up with is soulful alt-rock, like Manchester meets New Orleans. The sound of Seven Cinematic fits right into the new frontier of music created by the digital age - and it's being put out by the fans for the fans. Very exciting."
The funding for the project is being raised now through the popular crowd funding website, Kickstarter.com, a site where artists can raise money and release their creative work independently with help from their fans. The trio has released their first single "The Beautiful Ones," by making it available as a free download from their SoundCloud page for the duration of the Kickstarter Campaign.
Kevin was the primary guitarist for the Third Eye Blind self titled 1997 debut album and their 1999 sophomore album 'Blue', for which his work has continued to receive critical acclaim. Those albums combined have sold over 8 million copies worldwide. Cadogan was a signatory to the original Elektra record deal which launched Third Eye Blind to fame and he is also a recipient of two California Music Awards for his songwriting.
Seven Cinematic's debut album will combine Kevin's signature guitar sound and years of experience with up and coming alt-rockers, Collin and Chris Livingston, who originally hail from the soulful haven of Lafayette, Louisiana.
