Rhymes with 'Puerto Vallarta'?

December 01, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
Puerto Vallarta visitors with great memories of their vacations who can tell their story in a creative way could win a week’s stay for two at one of Vallarta’s leading resorts.
To give free rein to entrant’s creativity, their “Why I Love Puerto Vallarta” experiences can be in any form—poem, limerick, narrative, song lyrics set to a well-known melody, even haiku. Judging is based strictly on content and creativity, not writing prowess. Entries can be submitted at www.VallartaSource.com, an on-line vacation guide to Puerto Vallarta.
Entries can be about any Puerto Vallarta subject: fishing, diving, or parasailing…a dining experience…special sights such as the sunsets or jungle…”people-watching” in Old Town or along the beach or Malecon…or perhaps a memory of a pleasant encounter with a friendly “local”.
Entries received thus far have shown impressive creativity in rhyming with the word “Vallarta”. Spencer Schell from Winnipeg submitted several catchy limericks, including the following:
I said to my wife, "Let's departa
For the sunshine of Puerto Vallarta
We'll dance and we'll swim
We'll be filled with such vim
That a second honeymoon we'll 'a starta.”
Another Canadian who listed her name only as ‘Shayla’ submitted an impressive new set of lyrics to the tune “La Cucaracha” - the chorus goes:
“Puerto Vallarta!
You stole my heart-a!
I need to see you once again!
Puerto Vallarta!
Love from the start-ah!
In Paradise you are a gem!!”
To enter, go to www.VallartaSource.com. The deadline for entries is May 15, 2006, and a winner will be announced by May 30. Grand prize is a one-week stay for two at the NH Krystal Resort in Puerto Vallarta.
