Lenexa, Kansas, June 11, 2013 – PCdisposal.com, LLC, a nationwide electronics recycling company based in Lenexa, Kansas, successfully passed the audit process by Orion Registrar and has earned R2 Responsible Recycling Practices Certification. The R2 certification is a set of requirements and practices which reviews and verifies that a company is properly disposing electronic equipment, along with ensuring worker health and safety and proper data security practices. This standard is supported by major electronics manufacturers, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, state and local governments, and other influential environmental interest groups.

"Since our inception, PC Disposal has used responsible recycling methods because they match our mission to protect the environment, but we also understand that third-party verification is important to our clients," said Kory Bostwick, president of PC Disposal.com LLC. "We are proud to have passed the R2 standards and I'd like to congratulate the PC Disposal team for earning this recognition."

PC Disposal provides electronics and computer recycling services to U.S. government agencies and companies of all sizes. Kory Bostwick founded PC Disposal in 1998 because he was concerned that there were few environmentally-friendly options for companies that wanted to dispose of the toxic glut of obsolete computers that were filling offices and, ultimately, landfills.

PC Disposal is the first recycling company to back its services with a $1,000,000 secure data removal guarantee. It's also the first electronics recycling firm to offer secure steel cages for transporting IT equipment to its processing center. All of PC Disposal's security, disposal and recycling methods are fully compliant with HIPAA, HITECH, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, FACTA Red Flags Rules and Environmental Protection Agency rules.

PC Disposal's consumer website, Easy Recycle Store, offers mail-in recycling services for home and small office electronics, digital media and paper.
