Founder of Austin Data Center, OnRamp, to Sit on Hybrid Hosting Panel Discussion at HostingCon 2013

June 13, 2013 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Austin data center, OnRamp, has announced that its Founder, Chad Kissinger, will serve on a panel discussion covering the topic of hybrid hosting as part of the HostingCon 2013 Conference and Trade Show, June 17th - 19th at the Austin Convention Center. Kissinger will be joining a group of industry-leading professionals to discuss "The Coming Hybrid Wave: Colocation and the Cloud" on Tuesday, June 18th at 9:00am. Kissinger's discussion will kickoff Tuesday's educational content for the Technology Track and will highlight the benefits of merging colocation and the cloud to create hybrid solutions designed to effectively manage a business's IT operations.

OnRamp's hybrid hosting solutions leverage the company's core competencies of managed hosting, colocation and private cloud solutions. The Austin data center meets the needs of businesses looking for more than just a facility to host servers, and solves the challenges they face when looking to address specific security and regulatory requirements. "Unlike our competitors, OnRamp is able to provide hosting and support services that combine managed hosting, colocation and the cloud, thus enabling customers to deploy a combination, or hybridization, of services that facilitate the deployment of a secure, scalable and reliable infrastructure designed to meet their specific needs," said Kissinger of OnRamp's Austin data center.

The paneled discussion at HostingCon 2013 will demonstrate the widespread use of applications that integrate collocated environments with cloud solutions and will touch on the economic and security benefits of utilizing virtualization as part of a business's IT operations. OnRamp's Austin data center differs from many of its competitors by employing private cloud solutions, on dedicated equipment, to avoid many of the security and availability drawbacks of shared, public cloud environments. Applying this strategy to deploy disaster recovery or business continuity solutions removes the need to manage a remote environment and facilitates the seamless replication of data and applications across geographic distances providing added security.

OnRamp's Austin data center is also using virtualization to provide colocation customers with additional options for reliability. OnRamp's ReadyServer solutions provide OnRamp colocation and managed hosting customers with a pre-provisioned, virtualized environment of ReadyNodes that can be quickly and directly incorporated into a customer's infrastructure in the event of a hardware node failure in a customer's own environment. ReadyServer solutions solve the challenge of needing to quickly obtain and provision a new or spare server on-demand, in an emergency.

As a sponsor of HostingCon 2013, OnRamp will be showcasing its suite of data center services at Booth #423. The exhibit hall will be open Tuesday, June 18th from 12pm-6pm and Wednesday, June 19th from 12pm-4pm.
