Lizard Lick, NC, USA – G21: The World's Magazine (http://www.g21.net/) enters its tenth year on the Web by offering a series of books, based on its decade-long series of award-winning articles, to celebrate its anniversary. In October of 2005, the first book under the G21 imprint, Katrina and The Lost City of New Orleans by Rod Amis was released.

In December, two additional books are scheduled to be released on the marker. The first, Africa Fresh! Voices from the First Continent, will feature articles offered by the magazine from writers in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa, as well as previously unpublished material. The second book, My Glass House : The "Father of the Blog" & How It Changed Web Journalism, 1998-2005 features highlights of the publisher's column, "My Glass House" and a backgrounder on the evolution of Web journalism.
USA TODAY calls Katrina and the Lost City of New Orleans (29 November, 2005): "A look back at New Orleans, its beauty and its madness, by an African-American writer who lived until recently in the ravaged Ninth Ward."
G21.net publisher, Rod Amis, says of the new G21 BOOKS imprint: "We've been around on this medium for ten years now, longer than most other Web sites with the exception of the New York Times Online. During that time we've published thousands of articles that people who weren't first-adopters or had a bias against Web journalism never got the chance to read or enjoy.
"It seems only natural, now that more people understand the impact that this medium has had on our culture and other media, that we document what has been accomplished. Our magazine is qualified for this marriage of old and new media, electronic space and meat space, if you will, simply because we've grown and matured with the Web itself. Books seemed a natural next step for us."
Maintaining its electronic orientation, G21 Books is being produced by the premier InstaBook or Print On Demand service Lulu Press (http://www.lulu.com.)
