Orlando, FL, Miami, FL, Myrtle Beach, SC & Washington, D.C. June 18, 2013 - The office of Digger Cartwright, mystery novelist and industrialist, is pleased to announce the release of his newest novel Conversations on the Bench, an inspirational novel based on a true story.

Fun-loving, friendly, garrulous and larger than life, Sebastian never met a stranger. The countless hours he and his young friend spent toiling over life and worldly problems translated into a long and lasting friendship. Playing billiards or sipping wine were more than just ways to mark time, and wherever they went, they were sure to find a comfortable bench where they could sit and talk for hours-reminiscing on old times, facing new problems, solving global economic crises, conversing about life in general and sharing wit and wisdom. Never without something to say or some lesson to share, Sebastian shared a wisdom gained through his own unique life experiences-from growing up in the segregated South to making his way in the world amidst a deep recession to searching for purpose. Conversations on the Bench is a compilation of some of Sebastian's greatest life lessons. Filled with everything from how to negotiate a business deal to how to get the best service at a restaurant, Conversations on the Bench is not only a fitting tribute to Sebastian's words of wisdom but a primer for life itself.

Mr. Cartwright issued the following statement regarding the release Conversations on the Bench:

"The release of Conversations on the Bench is especially meaningful for me. This book is based on actual people who I know and was inspired by actual events. This project has been a long time in the making. I was first approached about this book while golfing at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in September 2007. It's taken a long time, but it's been worth it. I think the story of Sebastian Peréy is really uplifting and touching. He's a larger-than-life figure who has touched so many people's lives in a positive way, and I think it's altogether fitting and proper that we pay tribute to him by chronicling some of his life's lessons that he shared with a very good friend and colleague through a series of conversations over many years. I have tried to capture Sebastian's own unique personality in recounting these conversations that enriched others' lives and brought tremendous meaning and purpose to others and to his own life as well. Conversations on the Bench has something for everyone from all walks of life and of all ages and all backgrounds. I truly hope that you take away as much from Sebastian's story as I have and that it moves you as positively as it moved me.

As I mentioned when we released the cover of the book, I want everyone know that I will be donating a portion of the proceeds from sales though my website, www.DiggerCartwright.com, to an endowed scholarship that honors Sebastian at Coastal Carolina University. Thank you."

Conversations on the Bench is available in hardback, paperback, and e-book format through Digger Cartwright's website, www.DiggerCartwright.com, on-line booksellers and bookstores.
