July 2, 2013 - The Last Vegas rocks out with Chicago video production company, Motion Source, for a unique collaboration that digs into Chicago's most enduring ghost story: Resurrection Mary. The end product is "She's My Confusion" – a new take on a local classic.

This is not the first time the two have worked together. In 2012 The Last Vegas and Motion Source created Evil Eyes: a darkly comedic music video which earned Classic Rock Magazine's praise as the 6th best music video of the year.

For "She's My Confusion" John Scaletta and Craig Bass, the owners of Motion Source, decided to apply an idea they had been kicking around in the back of their heads for a while. Scaletta, having grown up in Willow Springs, (the town which plays host to Mary's ghost) was exposed to her story at an early age. It is said that Mary was killed near the Willowbrook Ballroom and Resurrection Cemetery following a confrontation with her lover which lead to her leaving the ballroom only to be struck by a car while walking down Archer Avenue.

The production team was able to secure the very same ballroom where Mary spent the last minutes of her life. Scaletta notes, "When you walk through those doors you go back in time. It was very eerie reenacting the story that haunted me as a kid…..but it was a lot of fun" To authenticate the experience, vintage items such as 1930's slot machines, a one of a kind ouija board table, taxidermy animal heads and an 1800's double barrel shotgun were brought in. Filming the music video required approximately 50 extras, most of which were from the local area and were all volunteers- proof of the local population's willingness and commitment to help make art.

Music videos are becoming essential for bands to progress and promote themselves. Adam Arling, guitarist for The Last Vegas, notes "Videos can do so much to define a band nowadays; and a well-produced video is testament to a band's belief in itself, separating the men from the boys (no offense ladies)."

The music video comes just 4 months before The Last Vegas kicks off their European tour in October.

Motion Source is an award winning Chicago based video production company, providing video services for businesses, non-profits, corporations, events and, as demonstrated here, musicians.
