August 2, 2013 - The Tennessee Health and Beauty Project will launch its 2013 series of events commencing on Sunday, September 8th with a fundraiser and launch ceremony. The Tennessee Health and Beauty Project is an effort to promote "Optimal Health and Beauty for All". Invitations are extended to members of the business and residential community of Tennessee including local business owners, corporations, non-profits, faith-based, human service organizations, and local government; as well as health and beauty professionals.

The Tennessee Health & Beauty Project will launch with an afternoon of entertainment, food, socialization, fundraising, special announcements and a little "shoulder rubbing" with members of the health, beauty, business and local government circles in Tennessee. The second event will be a concert on Saturday October 5th and will provide celebrity and special guest entertainment. This will be followed by a beauty and health expo on Sunday, October 6th. The expo promises a time well spent with activities like "Hoops for Health" basketball competition, "TENN Steps forward for Health" calorie burning walking and "Hands for Health" handball competition. Visitors can get involved with fitness defense class, Zumba demonstration, health screenings, hair and health education classes and much more.

The expo aims to be the primary platform to connect consumers to resources and service providers while encouraging support from everyone on a State level. The basketball, handball and walking competitions will be among businesses, corporations and local government offices while community members will compete in beauty and health oriented contests and demonstrations. Everyone is encouraged to engage in the activities to increase energy, enjoy the spirit of competition and ultimately enhance their experience of the project.
