Surge in activity on Teleroute UK freight exchange spells profit for all

The independent survey questioned users’ response to Teleroute Pro, the new user interface that allows customers to access the freight exchange in the most user-friendly way ever. The reaction of users has been overwhelmingly positive: Teleroute is now faster and more effective at finding freight matches than ever before.

Teleroute has been extremely proactive in encouraging usage of the UK exchange in 2005, not least in a bid to help customers find cost-effective solutions to the impact of the RTD by having more flexibility to subcontract freight. The surge in freight postings is good news for all Teleroute UK customers: the more postings the more consultations, as consulters recognise the greater choice and opportunity available on the exchange and start to integrate Teleroute more fully into their planning activities. The outcome is a profitable one for posters and consulters alike.

Award-winning ‘Services to the Freighting Industry’

At the same time Teleroute’s contribution to the UK industry has been recognised with success in the prestigious International Freighting Weekly Awards 2005. At a glittering black tie ceremony in London attended by 600 transport professionals on 20th June, Teleroute was honoured for ‘Services to the Freighting Industry’. The citation accompanying the coveted prize said:

“Teleroute gave clear and quantifiable evidence to support all the claims made in its entry. This company outlined its achievements against key performance indicators, while proving its contribution to the freighting industry”.

Fiona Holdsworth, Teleroute UK’s Managing Director, expressed her delight at receiving the award. “This is a tribute to the sterling work the whole UK team has put in since the start of the year,” she said. “I’m confident our customers will continue to enjoy the advantages of a dynamic, vibrant national UK exchange.”
