Bauma Africa 2013 in Johannesburg

Already successful with Bauma Munich, Messe München International has lately started to expand their trade show concept worldwide. After China and India, Bauma Africa is the first event launched targeting Sub-Saharan Africa.

The exhibition will be organized in Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg. More than 700 exhibitors will gather in an area of 60,000 square meters. 200 companies and 38 countries will be represented, including 9 pavilions for exhibitors respectively from Austria, China, Great Britain, Finland, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Northern Ireland and Spain. And no less than 15,000 visitors are expected to this premiere construction machinery trade show in Africa.

Bauma Africa is targeted to companies related to construction machinery, mining machinery, construction materials and services. Among the best-known exhibitors, there will be Atlas Copco, FAE, LiuGong, New Holland, Hamm, Sennebogen, ThyssenKrupp, Joseph Vogele and Wirtgen.

Alongside these exhibitors, MachineryZone, the online ad platform for used and new construction and mining equipment, will also be present.

This first edition of Bauma Africa 2013 offers MachineryZone the opportunity to gain strategic visibility on the Sub-Saharan construction market.

Economists forecast the African construction sector to become very dynamic in the near future. Many development projects in Africa require addressing the lack of infrastructure. And many local governments are lately investing substantial amounts in construction projects to improve the infrastructure.

This new demand in construction projects will directly lead to an increase in demand of used and new construction machinery. Aware of the potential of the African market, MachineryZone will present its online platform for classified ads of heavy and farming machinery to the African construction actors.
