Situated right at the end of the Southern Upland Way in southern Scotland there are stunning views over the fields to the sea. Cove Harbour with its secret smuggler’s habour, caves and natural arch along with Pease Bay are within easy walking distance. The holiday cottages make an ideal base for walkers, beach lovers, golfers and cyclists.
Edinburgh is 45 mins drive, Berwick-Upon-Tweed 20 mins, Dunbar railway station 15 mins. Explore beautiful East Lothian with its notable Victorian seaside holiday resort town of North Berwick (25 mins) and fishing town of Dunbar (15 mins) or take in the historic Border’s country.
The historic Scottish Borders are steeped in history, bloody battles, Castle strongholds, magnificent country houses such as Floors castle. Rolling hills and friendly people epitomise the Berwickshire area.
Photographers bring your camera, artists your easel, while geologists will be tempted with the exciting rock formations. Within easy distance of the famous East Lothian Golf Courses and historic Borders Castles and Abbeys there is something for all the family. John Muir Country Park is only 10 minutes’ drive with its protected nature walks.
The harbour town of Dunbar with its leisure pool, John Muir museum and Children’s farm will keep the kids entertained from dawn until dusk. Or visit the renowned Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick for hands on experiences for the kids and also offering year round opportunities to view puffins and gannets at close quarters in their natural habitat. While divers can get even closer to nature at Eyemouth or St Abbs or by sailing round the Bass Rock on the Sula at North Berwick. The rugged Berwickshire coast is renowned for diving and is one of the top areas in the UK both for shore dives and boat dives with many wrecks - you will find some diving sites in our links section with more information.
