Galaxy Casino SA selects KISS Casino Systems for Two new Macau Properties

Galaxy Casino S.A., one of three casino concessionaire holders in Macau SAR, have chosen the KISS casino management system to manage table gaming, junket and cash desk operations at their Grand Waldo and Rio properties, which are slated to open early in 2006.
KISS is a turn-key software solution for casino floors, developed by Australian casino management and consultancy firm International Casino Services Pty. Ltd. (ICS) www.intercas.com.au
“The KISS system provides all the reporting capabilities that we require. It is robust, stable and regularly updated,” said Mr Gary Woollard, Galaxy Casino General Manager.

The new Grand Waldo integrated leisure and entertainment facility will be located in Cotai, the area of reclaimed land between Taipa and Coloane the Macau SAR government has designed as the epicenter of gaming in Asia. Grand Waldo will have around 160 gaming tables and 350 slot machines, while the Rio in downtown Macau will have around 80 tables and 150 slots.

KISS is currently installed in the company’s 63 table Galaxy Waldo property, one of the 18 casinos in Macau, which opened in July 2004.

“Back up service and support is excellent, as is the cost,” said Mr Woollard. “KISS encompasses all of the functionality we need from a table management system. “Working in real-time, it eliminates the problems of running multiple systems and trying to synchronise the data spread across different databases.”

Riding on the successful operation of their existing installations, Mr Laurence Hawke, Director of Systems, ICS said that he was delighted with the two new orders.

“These recent orders from Galaxy Casino S.A. further consolidate out position as a premier supplier of table gaming management systems. We look forward to working closely with management at the Rio and Grand Waldo casinos in the lead-up to their openings early next year, and to provide ongoing support and expertise thereafter,” explained Mr Hawke.

KISS was developed specifically for gambling operations such as Galaxy’s with a strong focus on chip movement control, table gaming reporting, non-negotiable transactions, junket commission reporting, surveillance and cash desk modules.

It controls the movement of chips from the gaming tables to chip bank inventories, and provides a secure platform for calculating table game revenue and reporting to management, owners and government regulators.

“Casinos value the product’s built-in membership system for the registration of players, and the marketing module allowing searches and mail merging. In particular, it controls, calculates and reports on junket transactions, such as buy-ins, rolling, complimentaries, commissions and settlement,” he said.

The KISS system has been installed across a number of jurisdictions throughout the Asia-Pacific and Australia since first developed in 1991, including casinos in Macau, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Tahiti, the Philippines, Canberra, Christmas Island, Cairns, Darwin, Cambodia, Russia, Tinian, and numerous cruise ships.

ICS has serviced the casino industry for over 15 years, specializing in Asian land based casinos, resort casinos, casino ships, online gaming and regulatory matters. The company manages all aspects of casino operations, and in particular has an intimate knowledge of controls and procedures catering to a large Asian client base.
