Santa Rosa Dental Office Upgrades its Technology for More Precise Surgical Planning and Outcomes

Santa Rosa, CA - Kenneth L. Alford, DMD, recently put his Santa Rosa dental practice through a technological remodel. Having previously invested in CEREC, a technology that allows Dr. Alford to create and perfectly fit veneers, inlays, bridges, and crowns in a single dental visit, Dr. Alford wanted to take his office's dental technology to the next level.

"Adding a cone beam 3D digital imaging system to our practice ultimately means that getting dental implants is faster, easier, and more precise for patients," Dr. Alford said. "Our new low-dose 3D imaging system takes just seconds to create a 3D model of the patient's teeth and jaw and minimizes exposure to radiation."

Dr. Alford plans on using the 3D cone beam digital imaging system in conjunction with CEREC technology to create comprehensive dental implant treatment plans with reliable, predictable restorative outcomes.

"Each technology is impressive in its own right," Dr. Alford said. "Together, they're absolutely amazing. Each scan takes just seconds, right here in the office. From there, I can create a dental implant plan while consulting with the patient in the operatory, send the plan to the CEREC machine, and create crowns for dental implants that same day. Best of all, the patient can visualize the final outcome because it's right there in high resolution on a chair-side monitor in 3D."
