“To capture the imagination of our brightest minds” is what Ivan Yaeger described as his hopes for this new giveaway. “Our goal is to raise the awareness of prosthetics with our hand kit while inspiring the creation of a fun video.” To register, forms and kits are available from the Yaeger Robotic Hand Kit Website at www.yaegerco.com.

Mr. Yaeger, Chief Executive Officer of The Yaeger Companies and inventor of the patented Yaeger Arm prosthesis, has been bringing technology to the forefront of students’ minds for several years. Through the Yaeger foundation, a program called Technology Leaders Initiative™ has paved the way for student growth and interest in technology and inventing in over a dozen local schools.

The Yaeger Companies’ Technology Leaders Initiative™ provides students with the experience of forming simulated biotech companies that develop and present a prosthetic hand prototype. Yaeger and staff provide workshops and technical assistance to student teams on subjects such as prosthetics, patents, business plan development and effective presentations. Each student team uses the company’s new Prosthetic/Robotic Hand Kit to construct a functional artificial hand model. This effort is nurturing the next generation of biotech innovators by providing youth with the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of how technology can benefit the handicapped.
