Fastmetrics Lighting Up Bay Area With High Speed Fiber Internet

The Bay Area's dedicated business ISP, Fastmetrics, has been expanding it's network of pre-lit fiber Internet buildings over the last few months. The business Internet service provider recently released a list of seventy two addresses on it's website, where it manages fiber Internet presence.

Bay Area addresses on the list cover locations including San Francisco, San Jose, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Berkeley and San Ramon and many more throughout Silicon Valley. In the San Francisco metro area, various buildings on Market, Main, Montgomery, Post, Spear, 2nd, 3rd and Battery Streets are accessing fiber from Fastmetrics.

This fiber to the building service, entitled 'fiberIVY', provides business users and office tenants fully managed, high speed fiber Internet connectivity. Businesses are also accessing a variety of converged services which utilize the fiber. These unified services cover cloud based phone lines, network security and data center solutions. Many building managers are also jumping onboard, marketing high demand fiber Internet as a convenient utility, to encourage new office tenants.

"Our pre-lit fiber buildings are offering many advantages to businesses and building owners. Fast and free set up are welcomed. Symmetric high speed Internet access with guaranteed uptime are also positives.", said Andreas Glocker, Fastmetrics CEO and Bay Area technology expert.

Fastmetrics states on their website that fiberIVY can be installed within five business days, offering tenants access to 100Mb/s upload and 100Mb/s download service. This certainly ups the rate of a 'standard' fiber optic installation, which often takes months to complete. (Once permits are gained, fiber construction - which involves trench digging and 'pulling' of the fiber - is a lengthy process).

In addition to fiberIVY as a service to pre-lit buildings, Fastmetrics also provides fiber Internet connections up to 1 Gigabit per second symmetric, which is another business focussed service, for companies with high data usage demands;
"Another advantage we provide over other carriers, are no data caps. Unlimited high speed fiber suits businesses with high data demands and we allow a full-throttle service. Fiber improves output and increases reliability, so we didn't want to limit our offering with excess data charges", added Glocker, who started his first Bay Area ISP in 1994.
