Webit B2B Marketplace: Online promotion and the search engines
December 13, 2005 Business News(PRLEAP.COM) Webit.net is a new, free resource to businesses of all sizes, providing a new way to promote their business online and provide a significant boost to their visibility within the major search engines: Google, Yahoo! and MSN.
“Over 90% of web users use search engines to transverse the web. The Top 30 search engine results in any keyword get over 90% of search traffic.”
With search rapidly becoming the most important and popular means of finding new trading partners online, it is important that companies can do as much as possible to increase their online footprint.
Webit does this by providing a free, online marketplace to all B2B businesses. Webit allows members to add all their company and product/service details to their own Webit micro-site. This all then comes together to form the Webit.net B2B marketplace. Itself an online, searchable marketplace aimed at B2B businesses.
The content that companies add to Webit is then available through the major search engines and this can often help smaller or newer companies to the web to get around the dreaded Google “sandbox*”. To more established companies it increases their standing within the search engines and provides for valuable click-throughs to their own websites.
As 2006 approaches it is important that businesses set themselves up for the year ahead by making sure that their customers and potential customers can find them via the major search engines and Webit is a great, new way to help them achieve this.
* This is where new domain name websites can spend their first 6-12 months being excluded from Google search results.
