On February 3rd, 2014, at Training magazine's 37th Annual Conference and Expo, Stephen Meyer, CEO of Rapid Learning Institute, will introduce the "new wave of e-learning" in his talk "Brief is Beautiful: The Unstoppable Drive Toward Short-Form e-Learning."

"It's not fluff," said Craig Weber, author and nationally recognized executive trainer. "I saw him speak at Elliott Masie's Learning 2013 in November and came away convinced that short-form e-learning is the wave of the future, and that there's definitely a right and a wrong way to do it."

Meyer's short-form, single concept approach aspires to finally get people to engage in e-learning through a strategy he calls Information Design. The talk will also illustrate how mobile technology is changing the way soft-skills e-learning is created and will lead to much higher utilization rates.

Meyer will present "Brief is Beautiful" on Monday, February 3rd at 12:45 P.M. in Room 30A. "If you're interested in providing e-learning content for your organization, this is a must-see presentation," Weber continued.

Rapid Learning Institute is also a sponsor and exhibitor at Booth 116. "The Expo is an excellent opportunity for training professionals to learn best practices for getting training done in an efficient, cost-effective manner," said Creative Marketing Manager Diana Bernecker.

RLI's COO Glenn Eckard added, "We look forward to personally congratulating our clients who were recognized in the Training Top 125 list and to making new connections with organizations committed to talent development."

Developed by Training magazine, the 37th annual Training Conference & Expo brings together training and development professionals to exchange ideas on the science of workplace learning and instruction. Keynote speakers include neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor, behaviorist BJ Fogg and psychologist Shawn Achor. About Rapid Learning Institute

Rapid Learning Institute (RLI) provides online training and talent development tools for businesses, government agencies, nonprofits and educational institutions in the areas of sales, human resources, management, leadership and safety. RLI's approach is founded on three core principles: 1) Rapid Learning. Workplace training should be delivered in short bursts – just five to 10 minutes at a time. Today's multi-tasking workforce has neither the time nor the attention span for traditional lengthy training formats. 2) Single Concept Learning. People learn best when training is focused on a discrete, narrowly defined concept where learning goals are clearly defined. When training is delivered in small packets, the brain can easily absorb, remember and apply what it learns. 3) Research-Based Learning. Training is most powerful when it's grounded in verifiable research. When learners see training as credible, they're more likely to translate the learning into on-the-job behavior. RLI's signature five to 10 minute modules, called Quick Takes, incorporate these three ideas into unique training programs that get results.

Based in Greater Philadelphia, RLI is an operating division of Business 21 Publishing.
