BCC Software to Release TrayMate 3 Thermal Printer in February 2006

December 21, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Rochester, NY — BCC Software, a BÖWE BELL + HOWELL Company and a leading developer of high-performance solutions for professional mailers, announces an upcoming addition to BCC’s family of TrayMate thermal sack- and tray-tag printers. Among the advantages of the new TrayMate 3 over its predecessor, the original (and now discontinued) TrayMate printer, are improved speed, added barcode functionality, optional accessories, and a more competitive price.

The new TrayMate 3 — with an official release date of February 1, 2006 — boasts exceptional production capabilities, including top printing speeds of 177 sack tags or 102 tray tags per minute. It can be used with mailings shipped via the three United States Postal Service® (USPS®) mail classes: First-Class™, Standard Mail® and Package Services. Thermal technology eliminates production slowdowns related to changing ink cartridges, and simultaneous connectivity to multiple printers further increases any mailing operation’s throughput rates. An optional cutter accessory package (cutter, roll holder, and catch tray) is also available.

The TrayMate 3 supports the new USPS new Automatic Tray Label Assignment System (ATLAS), developed to coordinate all activities involved with the creation, distribution, printing and maintenance of the Enhanced Distribution Label.

“We’re thrilled to release the TrayMate 3,” says Ted Seward, BCC Vice President of Marketing. “With its speed gains and cutter accessories, this valuable addition to our TrayMate printer family is sure to appeal to mailers seeking higher productivity at affordable prices.”

Pre-orders are now being accepted for the TrayMate 3. The printer will list at $1,195, or $1,695 with the cutter accessory package. Discounts are available for current BCC Software customers. For more information, call (800) 337-0372 or visit www.bccsoftware.com.
