California Oncology Research Institute and Anton Bilchik, MD Set to Mark National Women's History Month this March
Celebrated in March, in conjunction with International Women's Day on March 8, National Women's Month serves to highlight the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. It also serves as an opportunity to talk about women's health and engage women on the topics of cancer and heart disease.
"National Women's History Month is an excellent opportunity for us to recognize all of the women who have done so much in the field of cancer research and community service," said Dr. Anton Bilchik. "We at CORI take are committed to women's health in all aspects of their lives."
Among the initiatives planned by CORI to mark National Women's History month is outreach to underserved communities in an effort to spread the message of early detection and cancer prevention. Dr. Anton Bilchik will also help raise funds for cancer research that will help save women's lives.
