April 17, 2014 - The Adventure Park at Frankenmuth – one of only two aerial forest ropes parks in the State of Michigan – will reopen for its second season starting Friday, April 18 at 11:00 AM and will continue into extended night hours for the illuminated "night climbs" which debuted late last season. The park is located at 1375 Weiss Street in Frankenmuth, Michigan.

This will be The Adventure Park's first complete season and it is expected that it will provide an excellent complement to the other attractions Frankenmuth offers. The park will be a great new source of outdoor fun for families, kids, teens, adults and groups. Non-climbing friends and family are admitted free to share in the fun.

The park, which was the first of its kind in the State when it opened late last summer, features zip lines and challenge crossings between tree platforms. Since then children, teens and adults have been "flocking" to its trees in search of outdoor adventure.

The Adventure Park's five different "treetop trails" consist of about 60 platforms installed in the trees and connected by various configurations of cable, wood and rope to form "crossings" of different kinds including the ever-popular zip lines. Climbers wear harnesses which are doubly secured to safety cables using the Park's own "always locked on" climbing system of interlocking carabineers (coupling links). Before venturing onto the trails climbers receive a thorough orientation. Trails are designed for self-discovery, making lessons unnecessary. Park Guides are always available for questions or assistance.

The aerial trails at The Adventure Park at Frankenmuth are color-coded and offer challenge levels appropriate for ages seven through adult. The introductory (yellow trails) are suitable for climbers as young as seven. The most advanced trail (black) is suitable for teens and adults who are experienced climbers. In between are three other trails of intermediate challenge levels to choose from. In short, there is something for just about everyone who wants to climb and zip through the trees at The Adventure Park.

The Adventure Park at Frankenmuth is designed, built and operated by Outdoor Ventures, which also built and operates the new Adventure Park at West Bloomfield, Michigan.

HOURS: Regular hours after the April 18 opening will be Fridays from 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM; Saturdays 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM; Sundays 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Last tickets sold two hours before closing. Starting June 9 the park will be open every day 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM for its summer hours. Operating hours may be subject to change so customers are advised to phone or check website if coming from a distance.
