Ark of the Covenant Discovery

It has been called a device for talking to God. The Bible records its power to destroy armies and level mountains with a ray of fire. The Book of Exodus warns, "Do not touch it lest ye be killed." Additionally, it is said that inside the Ark could be found 'testimony', i.e. evidence… proof.

Three aspects of the Ark led R.D. Valenti, author of Sacred Illusions - A Journey Into The Dream You Live, to an intriguing discovery. The Ark of the Covenant, its housing and all its vessels were designed by God. Moses received instructions to follow exactly the patterns shown him on the mountain. Only priests wearing sacred vestments were allowed near the Ark. The clothing included a plate of pure gold worn over the forehead and a protective breastplate. These items shielded the priests from the iniquity of the ark… lest they die. The precise design and mysterious nature of the articles of clothing worn by the priests led to close examination of the lampstand and its seven lamps that burned day and night outside the entrance to the Holy of Holies where the Ark rested. The candlestick's explicit pattern forms a symbol. The timeless, universal symbol representing the action of nuclear fission. The lampstand designed by God stood as a warning to all who approached the Ark of the Covenant that they must obey the statutes of protection, the commandments given by Him, or bear the iniquity of radiation and the consequence of death.

These and other historical facts are woven into a fictional story whose main characters are Sophie, a seeker of truth, and Walking Man, a Native American wandering shaman. It is the author's intention to shed new light on a variety of biblical mysteries from Genesis to Armageddon.
