July 23, 2014 - "An Unmarked Grave," a new book by Susan Morton, has been released by RoseDog Books.

"An Unmarked Grave" is the story of a murder that was hidden so well that decades passed before it was revealed to the family of the author. One casual computer keystroke while surfing the internet revealed the whole story. The author brings her family to life and walks the reader through their tragic discovery three generations later.

The author grew up in a totally dysfunctional mismatched family unit in a small town in Maryland. The time she spends with her grandmother is the reason for this book.

The internet is a wonderful thing in some cases. A story can live there for years after the participants have all died, sometimes taking their secrets with them to the grave. One Grandmother did just that. Her secret stayed hidden for decades.

The murder took place in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and the Spartanburg Herald covered the murder and trial daily.

About the Author:
Susan Morton was born in a suburb right outside of Washington, DC, where she attended school and church, growing up with one older sister. Due to several family moves over a period of 20 years, she has lived in Maryland, West Virginia, Illinois and South Carolina during the summers with her Grandmother.

Now retired, Morton resides in a large city in Georgia with her two Bichon Frise dogs, Maggie and Molly. They are constant companions while she writes about her childhood and family.

Morton is the mother of five children, grandmother of twelve and great-grandmother of four. This is her first book and hopefully not her last. It is her intention to leave everything she remembers from her youth to her family, bound together in one book from beginning to end, as a tribute to the wonderful people who encouraged her all of her life and have passed to a happier place.
