RDH INFOGRAPHIC: How we Reduced C02 Emissions by 34% Per Employee While Continuing to Grow

August 08, 2014   Business News
(PRLEAP.COM) (August 8, 2014) Let's face it: sometimes it can be a struggle to work towards your company's environmental goals. Today, RDH released an infographic to try and make that struggle a little bit more manageable.

What's your baseline for measuring success? How do you implement big-impact energy reduction initiatives without spending a ton of money? Over the past 4 years, we've been working hard to answer those questions, and now want to share those insights with you.

We started by measuring our greenhouse gas emissions through the Climate Smart program. Shortly after, we developed a reduction strategy plan. We found that implementing a lot of small, inexpensive changes added up to a big difference.

For example: did you know that laptops use 90% less energy than desktops? Or that simply changing your lights can have a massive effect on your buildings energy use?

The infographic shows the number of tactics we used to reduce our emissions substantially over just 3 years, but also highlights a few negative trends throughout our company that we will be tackling. Take a look for yourself, and good luck reducing your carbon emissions! SEE: Full-size INFOGRAPHIC
