Monsieur Bloem a flower shop that also delivers clean water to those in need, seeks funding.

September 17, 2014 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
September 17, 2014 - MONTREAL, Canada - Floral sales in Canada are more than $750 million. Five per cent of a wedding's budget is spent on flowers.

These staggering figures, however, paint just part of the picture behind the fledgling new Canadian start-up, Monsieur Bloem. What they don't tell is the real why Monsieur Bloem has come about: to disrupt the floral business model by changing it for the better.

Monsieur Bloem will only use ecologically grown or Fair Trade flowers; flowers that can also be printed upon with either a black and white photo, a company's logo, a person's name or a short message (I Love You, Happy Birthday, You Rock or Marry Me are just some possibilities) that can be done up in almost any language and in a variety of type fonts and colors.

Delivery packaging will be ecologically friendly or made from recycled materials, saving costs on material and energy. Our business cards will be printed on seed paper, which one could then take and plant as these eco-friendly business cards contains seeds of either flowers, herbs or vegetables. Our marketing/promotional material will be eco-friendly in one form or another. Anything we sell other than fresh flowers will have to be deemed eco/recycled or fair-trade.

But that's not all. Each purchase one makes thru Monsieur Bloem will automatically help men, women and children in Africa. Every time you buy something with Monsieur Bloem it will generate a chain of events to extend The Circle Of Life, and we're not asking for an extra donation, nor are we asking you to give up coffee for a day to help someone else. We'll automatically donate 20 per cent of our profits to charity – in this case WaterAid.

While we did not invent printed flowers or the eco movement, we can re-invent the way consumers and business profit from each other. So just think, if you were to buy flowers for that special person in your life, for a wedding or a dinner party or just to brighten up your home or office wouldn't you want to buy a Monsieur Bloem bouquet and know that you did your part in life to being fresh water and sanitation to those in need in Africa?

"Yes, one can buy flowers across the country on the corner, in malls, warehouse clubs, even online but we do not know of anyone of these that is eco friendly, offering the consumer a choice of printed or non-imprinted flowers, and gives back to charity as well!" Drew Severs

But to get this done, we need your help. Join me and Monsieur Bloem and let's make a difference. Without you things can't change. Our fundraising campaign runs until October 18, 2014 and can be found at [url=http://igg.me/at/monsieurbloem/x]

Giving Back
As part of our business plan twenty (20) per cent of all sales will be donated to charity. Our standard of life is far above that in other areas of the world such as parts of Africa. In turn, and thinking of The Circle of Life, we are all one and have a duty to help one another. Just as flowers need water, so do humans. Working with WaterAid Canada as the only choice for an Eco-conscious floral business like ours.
