Adcraft to Host Michigan State Head Basketball Coach Tom Izzo Oct. 2

Detroit, Sept. 24, 2014 – The Adcraft Club of Detroit, Metro Detroit's association for advertising and marketing communications professionals, will host Michigan State University Head Basketball Coach Tom Izzo for a breakfast program Thursday, Oct. 2. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the San Marino Club, located at 1685 E. Big Beaver Road in Troy. Izzo will speak to the club on his secrets to success and the importance of the advertising industry to college sports.

"Sports are huge for the advertising industry. Our goal is to continually provide programming that will keep our members up to date on the most relevant consumer and industry trends, including sports." Adcraft President and Senior Vice President, Head of Digital for Carat Phil Rzepka said. "We're excited to host Tom and looking forward to gaining insights from his success and experience."

In two decades, Izzo has firmly cemented Michigan State among the elite programs in college basketball. In his 20th year directing the Spartans, Izzo has compiled an impressive list of accomplishments, including the 2000 NCAA National Championship, seven regular-season Big Ten Championships, four Big Ten Tournament titles, six Final Four appearances, eight National Coach of the Year awards and a Big Ten-best 17 straight NCAA Tournament appearances.

Izzo is the latest of a number of prominent speakers to address the club this year, which has also included Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, TV Host Dr. Oz and Detroit Venture Partners CEO and Best-Selling Author Josh Linkner, among others.
