October 9, 2014 - Mandeville, LA - Charles Schof, DDS, is honored by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) in New Orleans.

Charles Schof, DDS, of the Mandeville Center for Dental Excellence, was recently awarded a fellowship award from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICIO) in New Orleans. The ICIO Winter Implant Symposium was held at the Marriott Hotel on Canal Street on January 16th through 18th. The award ceremony took place on Friday, January 17th.

"The entire event was filled with learning," Dr. Schof said. "I am excited about the new knowledge I've acquired and honored to have received a fellowship award from this prestigious organization. That the event was held in our own backyard here in New Orleans was an added bonus."

Already a highly regarded dental implant dentist, Dr. Schof is committed to staying at the top of the implant dentistry field. "My patients deserve the best that the industry has to provide," he explained. "I owe it to them to acquire as much knowledge as possible."

Dr. Schof offers dental implants at the Mandeville Center for Dental Excellence, with the entire process taking place in-house. "We use 3D digital imaging for precise treatment planning and placement as well as send patients home with temporary dental implants that same day. I am committed to providing permanent, functional, and aesthetically pleasing restorations, every time. This award supports that commitment."

The International Congress of Oral Implantologists dates back to 1972. This organization is composed of general dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, periodontists, prosthodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, dental students, and others interested in the field of dental implantology. The ICOI is the world's largest dental implant-focused continuing education provider. The organization is focused on advancing the "science and quality of the practice of implant dentistry."
