BDA receives multiple awards for its work in 2014

October 31, 2014 - Business Development Asia LLC ("BDA") is pleased to have won the following awards, in addition to various awards won earlier in the year. Euan Rellie, BDA Co-Founder and Senior Managing Director, was also named North American Investment Banker of the Year and one of the Top 50 Global M&A Dealmakers by the Global M&A Network.

Acquisition of Vinh Hoan Feed (Vietnam) by Pilmico (Philippines)
BDA acted as advisor to funds advised by VinaCapital and Duxton Asset Management on the sale of a 36% stake in An Giang Plant Protection ("AGPPS") to Standard Chartered Private Equity. AGPPS is Vietnam's largest distributor of plant protection chemicals, and the largest distributor of rice seeds. It is also building a presence in rice aggregation and processing. The transaction is among the largest PE exits via a secondary sale in Vietnam to date. BDA Hong Kong and BDA Ho Chi Minh City advised on this transaction.
Acquisition of CoActive Technologies' DeltaTech Controls Unit (US) by Sensata Technologies (Netherlands/US)
BDA and its partner William Blair acted as exclusive financial advisors to CoActive, a portfolio company of Littlejohn & Co. and CITIC Capital Partners (China), in connection with the sale of CoActive's business unit DeltaTech Controls, to Sensata Technologies. DeltaTech Controls is a global leader in customized electronic operator controls, based on magnetic position sensing technology, for the construction, agriculture and other industries. The transaction illustrates BDA and William Blair's deep and successful partnership, and global reach, with proven ability to deliver strong outcomes on complex transactions. BDA Shanghai and BDA New York advised on this transaction.
Acquisition of a controlling stake in Systran SA (France) by CSLi (Korea)
BDA and Aforge Degroof jointly acted as financial advisors to CSLi (Korea). BDA led the strategic and M&A aspects of the transaction, and Aforge Degroof handled the French public market aspects, liaising with the AMF and acting as presenting bank. CSLi (Korea) was advised by Herbert Smith Freehills on legal matters. The acquisition marked the first-ever takeover of a French publicly traded company by a Korean company. Prior to the completion of the acquisition, BDA Seoul and BDA London advised on this transaction.
