(the "Company") announced today they have released a new suite of calibration software, GenCal II™. A pioneer in electronic calibration records, GenCal II is the feature-rich version of the company's current software, GenCal, which has been in use for more than seven years.
Designed and developed by the in-house IT team at Integrated Service Solutions, GenCal II is a high performance database that connects field service technicians, customers and internal support staff with immediate access to electronic calibration data.
"Many of our customers are governed by strict FDA rules and regulations and they expect us to be on the cutting edge of technology. We have been providing electronic calibration records and bar coded labels to our customers for many years," said Joe Uricchio, President and CEO. "Launching this new version of our software ensures that our customers receive their data quickly and accurately."
Some of the innovative features and functions of GenCal II include the iPhone application. This in-house designed app enables the company's mobilized workforce to quickly access work orders and customer contact information. In addition, the app has a customer digital sign out function. This helps to further the customer satisfaction index by ensuring that all equipment services are reviewed with the customer. When the calibrations are completed, the customer simply signs the app on the iPhone. This electronic signature along with the calibration records are then stored on the Company's servers.
To ensure 21 CFR Compliance, GenCal II was rigorously beta tested using real time scenarios up through October of this year. The software validation was performed by the IT and the quality assurance teams at Integrated Service Solutions and are documented to satisfy regulatory agency requirements.
"With this new software release, we now have greater continuity between our databases," said George Fenzil, Director of IT. "These integrated databases and key user components create a simpler, faster and easier-to-use application."
The new GenCal II software integrates seamlessly to the company's Certificate Management System™ (CMS). This mobile friendly online document management tool allows customers 365/24/7 password protected access to their electronic calibration records. Its features include search, view and report printing as well as the ability to download the data to an Excel file.
"We have customers signing up weekly to use the value added service," added Catherine Peetros, Director of Business Development & Operations. "It provides them with instant access to their data via mobile devices. And many of our customers use this database for real-time access to their equipment inventory."
