Flint Area Integrative Medicine Clinic Seeking 50 Participants for VIP Clinical Diagnostic Study

January 20, 2015 (PRLEAP.COM) Health News
January 20, 2015 - Grand Blanc, MI - Current medical literature suggests that antioxidants can decrease your risk cancer, heart disease, and complications related to diabetes. Antioxidants can slow down the aging process, boost your immune system, and speed recovery times while decreasing pain and inflammation. Since most Americans do not eat 8-12 servings of fruits and vegetables daily, it is important that you take a vitamin supplement that can provide optimal nutritional support and effectively raise your overall antioxidant level.

The Natural Wellness & Pain Relief Center in Grand Blanc has begun enrolling people in a clinical study on the connections between antioxidant status and chronic disease. The study will begin on February 3rd, 2015, and there is no charge for participants. According to Dr. Megan Strauchman, medical director of the Center, "Antioxidant status seems to be a central component in the prevention of long-term, chronic diseases. People with Lyme disease, lupus, MS, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, Crohn's disease, and chronic joint pain may all have abnormal levels of these antioxidant nutrients."

The Natural Wellness & Pain Relief Center is looking for the first 50 people who qualify. In order to be a study candidate, one must have a diagnosis that qualifies, or be suspected of having a chronic illness. Interested parties will be scheduled for a pre-qualification phone survey to see of they qualify. Once qualified, they will be scheduled beginning February 3rd for their first office visit.

For those interested in participating in the study, please call Katarina Legg, study coordinator, at 810.694.3576 for your pre-qualification interview.
