January 11, 2006 (PRLEAP.COM) Education News
ScienceScope launch the Compass Sensor. As one of the UK’s leading developers of datalogging equipment that provides technology-based science learning solutions, ScienceScope have developed the digital compass sensor. The Compass sensor is designed to measure orientation of the sensor.

This sensor is ideal for carrying out investigations of motion and can be used while walking to a mapped course, in addition it is ideal for measuring the direction of a magnetic field around a magnet.

Practical experiments based on motion, and movement, speed and what happens to objects, can give your students the opportunity to see for themselves and will enhance their understanding of the relationship between data, evidence, theories and explanations to develop their own practical, problem-solving and enquiry skills.

Specifications:
· Range: 0 to 360˚
· Resolution 1˚
· Minimum recommended recording interval: 10ms
